Australia's and Far North Queensland's newest 100k Trail Ultra! Traversing the tropical rainforests adjacent to the Great Barrier Reef, GBR100 will take you on the journey of a lifetime. With manicured single track, technical and rough terrain, challenging climbs with incredible views, dirt road and even a little tarmac, GBR100 has it all!

The Course
Our 2026 GBR100 courses are currently in draft and awaiting final permissions - they will be released as soon as possible.
All courses are point to point and include a huge range of typical Far North Queensland trail running experiences.
The 100k includes approximately 3700m of elevation, 60k approximately 2500m of elevation and the 25k approximately 1200m of elevation
Meet The Team
Smurf Endurance Sports Pty. Ltd. is an endurance sports company based in Cairns, QLD, Australia.
Josh, Salome and the team facilitate other great ultra's in the region including Cairns 50 Ultra and Smurf's BYU.
Smurf Endurance Sports also facilitates local squad training sessions and coaches athletes from beginner 5k road runners up to trail ultra runners and Ironman triathletes

When will entries open?
We are aiming to have entries open by late 2025
Where is the event located?
GBR100 is based in Cairns with start and finish lines close by. Cairns airport provides easy access to the region and the event
How difficult are the trails?
The trails on course are a mix of technical rainforest single track, some significant climbs, dirt road, manicured MTB trail and tarmac. This is a challenging course, but generous cutoffs will make the events accessible for many.
